This student has a learning disability and struggles with reading and word association. As a result, this young man does not like to present in front of the class for obvious reasons. I typically let him present to just me, which he is OK with, yet I still feel that I need to find a way to help him overcome his fear. If he is comfortable with that, you can ease him into presenting to the whole group. It can be shown to the class, but he does not have to be in the room when it is shown. Then his classmates can provide positive and encouraging feedback. When he reads all the great things they thought about his presentation, he may be more willing to do a live one as time goes on. Maybe this would begin to boost his confidence. Or you could let him practice with a buddy or with you what to say and then repeat what was said to the class. As the student becomes more comfortable and confident increase the amount of students the student presents to. That way he can play the video of him presenting to the class on presentation day. Instead of presenting the entire project, he could introduce the his presentation video to the class. That would be a shorter amount of time he would have to actually be in front of the class speaking. This could help him get used to speaking in front of them.
