How to Deal WIth Annoying Teachers
My grade level has just welcomed two new teachers aboard. One teacher has only been teaching for two years. She often has questions, and may ask you a question in the middle of instruction, but she is not the annoying one! The annoying one has been taught a little long, and has an answer for everything! She talks, and talks, and talks, and the grade level is getting fed up! She tries to one up everyone by having a better and more extravagant response. As my students would say, she's just "doing too much"! How should my grade level approach her, and not attack her?

Maybe try to designate one teacher who is also a veteran teacher to simply speak with her privately about how your team operates and functions. Maybe the new teacher is simply nervous or trying to impress everyone with their knowledge and doesn't realize the way in which their actions are coming across.

I agree with this solution but if it does not work ask an administrator to talk with them.

It may be that the more tenured teacher isn't aware that she is "annoying" the team with her ill-planned comments. Perhaps she is simply outspoken. The grade chair reinforce meeting norms and keep the meetings moving along. If their is a time for feedback, it should be limited to a 1-2 minute response. No soapbox rants should be allowed. Additionally, the grade level chair should meet with her privately and professionally to make her aware that there are concerns about her commentary during the meeting.

Your grade team should designate a group leader or speaker. She/he can be the one to facilitate or end discussion on topics to keep the team focused on planning.

Many teachers want to there best and this might be the way she is, she might be competative person or just want to the best she can. The point is many people like that need boundries and rules. If she is doing it on purpose, have one person most likey the grade level head tell them that have been complatints and also make sure to give options like asking others what she can do better or that this is how some people teach. If this is on accidnet just telling them once might be enough to settle them down

Co-workers are going to have different personality traits. Some are good, some are not. You just have to learn to work around it.

Someone should talk to her, and explain to her that the other teachers think that she is trying to hard and she should turn it down a notch.
