How would you accomodate different learning styles in your teaching?
If you are asked this question in a job interview for a teaching position: What are some things you should avoid when responding to this question? What might be some important points to stress that would get the interviewer's attention? How would you respond to this question?

It is important to keep in mind that not all students learn the same way. You must target all the different learning styles in a classroom because that will both benefit the students and you as a teacher. In order to accommodate the different learning styles, you must change up the way you deliver a lesson. If a certain style does not work well with a particular student, give them options and choices for completing the desired assignment while still meeting the objectives.

I agree with this solution. It is no secret that learning styles among students often vary. It is the teacher's job to present the material so that it reaches and connects to all the students.

There are several ways to accommodate different learning styles in the classroom. I would go about the question by answering with a specific time or specific strategy that you used to accommodate different learners.

Its important to know the individual student. There is no simple answer or right answer. There are numerous ways to accommodate for the individual student's needs but overall its whatever is best for them.

I would first start off by mentioning that not all students learn the same way. Some are writers while others are illustrators and some are visual learners while others are reading learners. With keeping this in mind, you can speak on differentiating assignments in such a way that each students preferred learning method is being honored while also staying with the curriculum and standards. This does not require any extra work but is rather a way of thinking about your students and requires you to genuinely know your students.

I think one important aspects to think about when you are planning on teaching to the different learning styles, is figuring out how your students learn and who are the what learners, how learners, etc.
