No it should not! Sharing this is still going to be considered bullying and spreading hate speech. It is not only affecting the student but the school community as well. |

I think there should be consequences for this as well, this is a form of bullying and it should not be tolerated. |

No it should not be treated any differently than other violent speech. Posting a nasty meme on a classmates social media feed is bullying and needs to be handled properly. The student who posted the nasty meme needs to be disciplined and be held accountable for their actions and behavior. |

I think this depends on the violent meme. If it has weapons in a threaten manner especially towards either other students or the school itself, this needs to be addressed to both the the parents and the students. However if it violence in video games I think this can be just asked calmly to the student. Ask them about the meaning of the meme, then go on from there. |

It depends heavily on what the meme is, what the meme is trying to say, and how the students react to it. For example, a meme about 9/11 that is intended to provoke a Middle Eastern classmate should be treated the way a racist joke or slur would be against that student. If the meme simply features weapons or jokes about stabbing someone, then perhaps the teacher should pull in both the poster and the recipient to get a better grasp on what this meme meant and how it was received. |

This is an interesting ethical dilemma? Does the district or county have any rules on this kind of occurance? |
