Parents won’t acknowledge disability
What to do if a child has a learning disability and the parents refuse to acknowledge it?

If this is you as an educator trying to get a student diagnosed with an LD and the parents won't send the child to a specialist, the child cannot be diagnosed without parental consent and you just need to provide as many accommodations as you can in the classroom. Whatever they seem to be struggling with, give as much support as you can, and try to emulate an IEP with ways that they can be helped while with you.
If this student DOES have a documented disability (and an IEP I'm assuming), and the parents won't provide the support needed at home and in support of the child at school, that could be grounds for neglect depending on the severity of the disability. Even so, continue to follow the IEP and try to find ways for the parents to interact with their child's needs without pushing. This could be (if the student has dyslexia and they listen to things instead of reading) having the parent read books to their child. Something to get them involved in the accommodation process.

If the child has LD of any sort and the parents are refusing to acknowledge it even with proven testing and all other factors, then a meeting needs to take place. If this child has an IEP with the label of LD and it is acknowledged in the classroom in the form of modifications and accommodations, then it needs to be real and acknowledged by the parents. I know it is hard sometimes to admit the label of LD to their child, but acknowledging is the first step in this process. It sounds like to me that they are denying it entirely.

If this is new to the parents, they may need time and support to adjust. Set up a meeting with yourself and the parents. Maybe have a trusted colleague or another teacher involved in the students join you. Explain to the parents your reasoning and provide them with any resources available.

When parents are confronted with the idea that their child may have a learning disability, they may feel depressed and sad. Some parents might believe they are somehow to blame for the condition or the circumstances. Parents may also be in denial or express their frustration physically or by directing someone else.
It used to bother me that parents could deny their child the right to the appropriate accommodations or modifications the student may need to see a successful learner. However, as educators, we can still provide students with those to meet their needs. Yet, recently I learned from my ESE professor that there are rare cases where the child is in high demand of extra support that cannot be provided solely by the classroom teacher. Then there are actionable steps we as educators can take to further progress the process. However, this should only be done in extreme cases. Everything must be well documented to further the process for the student's benefit. In rare circumstances, exceptional cases may be challenged and must be reported to a school social worker. This is not to cause discomfort or drama to the family, only to have the child's best interest in mind and do what is best for the child.

As the teacher, you can advocate for the childs learning. You might be able to provide resources to the parent, without feeling like you are pressuring them to see the disability. You also might just want to support and do what you can do on your end, you can't make a parent come to terms they are in denial about.

As an educator, I would say to document every sign that shows the student has a learning disability. Nothing is too small, write it all down. I would also have a counselor come in to watch the student from afar, almost as if the person is watching the whole class, just so they can testify as well that someone else has noticed the disability and is aware of it. I would also bring up any test scores or anything that can show the difference between a student with a disability and without a disability. Once you feel that you have collected enough evidence, I would revisit the topic again with the witnesses present.
