Learning from the ants.
Besides learning the importance of hard work, what other lesson do you think the grasshoppers learned from the ants? Look back on the ants' actions when the grasshoppers asked them for some of their food. What kind of neighbor where the ants?

The other lesson the grasshoppers learned from the ant was generosity. The grasshoppers did nothing but play the whole summer while the ants were working hard collecting food, but they still gave them some of their food because they did not want to see them starve. The ants were kind and generous neighbors to the grasshoppers. They gave them some food and also explained the importance of hard work which inspired the grasshoppers to be more like the ants.
