"Once upon a time...."
"Once upon a time, there was an honest shoemaker who was very poor."

Reading this excerpt, give a short explanation as to why the writer made it clear at the beginning to say the shoemaker was "honest.." and ".. was very poor"? Think about how this sentence alone helps build the theme throughout the story.
