What are the best ways to earn respect from students as a young teacher? |

I think letting your students know a bit about your personal life while also holding boundaries with them will show them that you are their teacher but you are also a human too. |

Teachers who are young need to be sure to set boundaries with students. Regardless of being young, you are still the teacher and in charge and older than them. They need to understand that and respect you. Having rules in place for the classroom setting may also be hlepful. |

I think a good start is to be open about yourself, as long as it is appropriate. It’s also ok to let students know that you make mistakes too and you have bad days. Respect also goes both ways. |
