Assessing Struggling Students
I have a group of students that I work with in a structured study group. I am required to assess their performance in the study group, and I have realized that I struggle with this. Some of my struggling students are making huge strides in terms of progress, but they are technically still not meeting the criteria. While other students are performing above the criteria, and all I can do is give them 100%. How do I assess both of these types of students in the same group in a way that highlights their progress while also keeping a fair grading criteria?

Maybe you can consider including a category that ranks improvement from the previous assessment/beginning of the year.
