Entering Grades
Keeping a hard copy of grades will help when grade books are locked and when assignments are being submitted at different times. I keep all my grades on a sheet and enter them at the end of the week so parents can check weekly. Most of my parents check on Saturdays and Sundays, so I let them know I would do my best to ensure they are all updated by Friday night so they are available for viewing Saturday and Sunday. |

This tip is helpful if you have difficulty getting onto your computer as you complete grading for your students. It also helps create a regulated expectation for parents. I would also say that it dissuades the helicopter parents who check their students online grades every other hour. |
