  Case: Student Shy to Present
I have a student who is excellent in the classroom and goes above and beyond to excel in his work. This student has a learning disability and struggles with reading and word association. As a result, this young man does not like to present in front of the class for obvious reasons. I typically let him present to just me, which he is OK with, yet I still feel that I need to find a way to help him overcome his fear. What are some ways that I could help boost his confidence?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
You may want to allow the class to present in small groups and see how he does with that. If he is comfortable with that, you can ease him into presenting to the whole group.

Comments: I think it is a great idea to have the student present in a small group and then go from there. You don't want to make the child feel uncomfortable but want them to be able to talk with other classmates and present their work. Great solution overall and would use it in my classroom.

Comments: As a teacher you want to get the student out of their comfort zone by having them present because they may need to do that eventually in their jobs. So starting them out with a small group would be a great way to slowly incorporate them in presenting to the whole group. You can suggest that he may not talk a lot in the presentation, however that he does need to speak some.

Comments: Being a shy kid myself I would've loved the chance to do my presentation in front of only my teacher but they weren't so kind. If they eased me into it, I probably would be more comfortable in these sort of situations. It was either present in front of the class or fail... Failing wasn't an option. I agree that allowing the students to present in small groups is a great start to easing him into presenting to the whole class, this is the goal for him.
