Case: ESOL modifications
In Mrs. F's third grade class there are 2 ESOL students. Both of them are at a lower level. She does not make any accommodations or modifications for them. She is just assuming that they will figure it out.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
An ESOL teacher or instructional coach or administrator needs to get involved. These students need extra support to figure things out. They definitely need instructions paraphrased and writing assignments scaffolded. The administrator should ask to look at these students grades and question what is taking place in this classroom for these students. |

Comments: I think this is the best solution because it is a call to take action in order to get help for the students. The teacher must use ESOL strategies, it is not a choice, it is mandated by the state of Florida, if the teacher refuses to help them then an administrator needs to step in. |

Comments: I agree, the students both need help and are entitled to that help |
