Case: Hands To Yourself
I have a student that cannot keep his hands off of his classmates. He is always wanting to touch children's hair or touch their clothes. The other students in my class get irritated by this student constantly putting his hands on them. Any suggestions as to how to help this pre-kindergarten student keep his hands to himself?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would consult with your school counselor, as they may have some strategies they can share to assist you in helping the student understand why it's important to keep his hands to himself. The counselor may also be able to work with student one on one to help him understand the importance of keeping his hands to himself.
If you have a co-teacher/teacher assistant/para, you all can role play different scenarios for the class to show why it's important that everyone in the class keep their hands to themselves. |

Comments: I believe this is the best solution for this situation. The counselor can provide different methods for the student among other helpful support. I would do this if I were in your situation. |

Comments: I liked this solution best because it brings other adults into the situation, and gives the student an action to do other than touch others |
