  Case: Student Shy to Present
I have a student who is excellent in the classroom and goes above and beyond to excel in his work. This student has a learning disability and struggles with reading and word association. As a result, this young man does not like to present in front of the class for obvious reasons. I typically let him present to just me, which he is OK with, yet I still feel that I need to find a way to help him overcome his fear. What are some ways that I could help boost his confidence?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Similar to one of the solutions posted above, I would recommend letting him record himself presenting. It can be shown to the class, but he does not have to be in the room when it is shown. Then his classmates can provide positive and encouraging feedback. When he reads all the great things they thought about his presentation, he may be more willing to do a live one as time goes on.

Comments: I agree wholeheartedly with this solution. Love the idea of the child getting positive feedback from his peers.

Comments: This also is a great solution. I never thought of that, and its a great idea for students who fear to present. His project is still being told or shown to the class, so that no one feels that it's unfair but it's not exactly presenting in front of a whole class.
