It would be important to stress the importance of teaching students digital citizenship and how to constructively implement technology into their education. As a middle school educator, it is critical that students understand how to use technology as a tool and not a toy. Students need to be provided with clear examples of proper search methods and sample websites with useful information. From an instructional standpoint, technology can be integrated to promote interactive, fast-paced lessons that require student engagement. Internet tools such as Kahoot.it allow me to review information with students through an interactive game. The question is posted via projector with answers that correlate to a color and shape. The students are able to respond on their electronic devices by selecting the corresponding color/shape that matches the answer on the projector. |
