  Case: Classroom Materials
I constantly have students who are not prepared for class because they don't have a pencil to write with or paper. I am beginning to feel as if part of my job is to provide my students with classroom materials at all times. What suggestions or methods can I use to eliminate the issue of not having classroom materials?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
If you have a behavior management system in your class, I would penalize students who are not prepared for class. For example, I use money in my class and not having the proper materials costs them $5 and 5 minutes of their recess. This punishment quickly corrects behavior as students hate missing part of recess.

The suggested solution is likely to solve the problem/issue No

Comments: I feel that this doesn't solve the problem. Sometimes kids just forget or can't afford supplies. Punishment is harsh.

Comments: Sometimes it is not the students fault that they do not have the appropriate materials. It is not right to punish them for something that is as simple as the lack of a pencil.

Comments: Money is probably an issue and is why the students don't have their materials.

Comments: This is not a good idea. I think that this is too harsh for students. Maybe if it continues, but the first few times should be okay.

Comments: I disagree, there could be many reasons students don't have supplies & it's not right to penalize them like this.
