Case: New Students Being Assessed Under You
At my school we receive new students each Monday. Majority of these students have been out of school for a long period of time. An influx of new students are enrolled a week before standardized testing and they are required to test as our students. What is a great solution to this situation?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
This is always a tough situation especially when the students' results reflect on you. I would have to request that the students go into all day review for testing by using a review module on line. They would need to be supervised to make sure that they stay on course reviewing daily up until the test. The students would also have a study guide to review at home which includes checkpoint questions. The students can answer the questions and check their answers with the key in the back of the study guide.

Comments: I could be wrong, but I don't think heavy reviewing for one week would be that effective. I predict that it would just overwhelm the student. Also, I'm not sure if one week is enough time to learn everything.
