I have a close friend who happens to teach at my son's middle school. She has been taking it upon herself to discuss my son's grades with his teachers, even though my friend DOES NOT teach my son. I am VERY bothered by this. I don't feel like, ethically, it is any of her business to discuss my son's academic affairs unless I bring it up in conversation and ask for her input. How should I handle this? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) It is against the code of ethics, the teacher has no business getting in the middle of your son and his academics. I would sit down and have a conversation with this teacher and express my concerns.
