  Case: Temper, Temper
I have a student that is known for being intelligent. When he gets an answer wrong, he throws a fit. How do I let him know that he is not perfect and he can't become angry each time he is incorrect?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
He may have pressure at home to be the absolute best. Try to explain to him at school if he did not get it right the first time, try it again. Then if the second time is wrong ask for help and the teacher will guide him. Either way he is getting to the correct answer.

Comments: If I were in this situation, I would exactly do this. Alleviating the pressure and letting him know that no matter what he has the potential to be correct even if he does not answer the first time is a great solution.

Comments: I agree the anger could come from the stress and pressure the child experiences at home. Talking to them one on one will give you an idea of what's going on and let the student know that everyone makes mistakes.
