  Case: Bullies in the playground
A parent comes in after school and states that their child is being continually bullied in the playground.
Parent: "I've come away from work early to deal with this problem. You wouldn't know because this happens during playtime and there is never a teacher on duty. It is always happening, the school does nothing about it and the child is too scared to come to school."
Continue this scenario to resolve the issue.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Apologize to the parent about the incident and let them know you did not know about this. Inform them that there is in fact a teacher on duty during play time and that no one has stated anything like this happening. Tell them you will let the other teacher's know about the student being bullied, but also tell the student he needs to tell a teacher about the bully and ask the student to give you more information about what is happening.

Comments: Good post, placing the responsibility back on the student. Teachers cannot be everywhere therefore the student must inform the teacher of what is going on the have the problem rectified. I also like that you said to apologize to the parent b/c no one wants their kid to be mistreated.
