Case: Field Trips
My school only allows us to go on one to two trips a year. I feel as though real-world experiences are essential to make connections while learning. My principal says because we are Title I we can not ask for much money from the parents. Are there any other solutions other than fundraising?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Fundraising by the PTA or teachers are most effective. Depending upon the fundraiser, you should be able to raise enough for the trips. I would be certain to choose items that will sell well such as donuts and food. I would also seek a partnership or sponsorship with local businesses who will sponsor a class in exchange for recognition. |

| Comments: While I do think this is a great idea, it is not guaranteed that the funding will get covered 100% and if that is the case then you have to break the news to the students. |
