Home | How It Works | Stats Login | Register         Case: Hands in Pants Andrew has a problem with his hands during classwork and independent work. He puts his hand into his pants while doing his work. I try to pull him aside and tell him that big kids don't put their hand in their pants. He says he understands but it seems as though it is a habit that he can not break. It might be supplemented by the parents or that they don't care if he does it or not. I plan on addressing the parents with the issue but what can I do if they become uncooperative. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I think it is important to talk with the parents and try to find out the root of the cause. I believe putting Velcro or allowing the student to hold something would decrease him putting his hand in his pants. Due to a lack of description, I pictured the teacher Velcroing the child to his desk. Not a good solution at all.
