What can I do to stop that? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) to keep students from packing their backpacks prior to class being over is to have a clear rule that backpacks will be packed only after the direction of the teacher. This was used in my high school, and students would have to wait until either the teacher said they could pack up or until the bell rang to pack up or else they would hold the entire class for about half a minute or more.
