  Case: Higher Level Learners
Mrs. Smith has a class of gifted/advanced students as well as a class of advanced/regular ed students. Mrs. Smith has a hard time "challenging" the higher level learners in the advanced and gifted classes. She establishes high expectations and requires more effort from students in those classes, however the gifted students do not refer to her class as a challenging one. What are some suggestions for Mrs. Smith?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
What does Mrs. Smith data have to say about her class and it's understanding of the content? What are some of the students learning styles and/or multiple intelligence? Giving high level students extensions to assignments are great also.

Comments: I don't understand the correlation of extensions on assignments to the higher level students will make her class harder.

Comments: Your not promoting differentiating for high level thinkers. Also if the students are gifted the scores should be high, but it doesn’t mean it’s challenging for all students.

Comments: even though I think it is important to know student's learning styles, it seems that the problem here is that the teacher is not asking them to perform the best they can.

Comments: I'm not sure the extensions are what is needed in this situation. I just think the work needs to be more challenging so the child can feel like they're being used to their needs
