Case: Does my child have ADHD?
When a parent continually asks for the teacher's opinion on whether their child has ADHD or not, what is the appropriate response since we are not doctors? We can describe the behaviors we see in the classroom, but where do we draw the line?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Under no circumstance would I insinuate that the child has ADHD but I would describe the student's behavior and actions in the classroom. I would then refer the parent to a school counselor or school psychologist as they will be more equipped to handle this situation and can point the parent in the right direction.

Comments: I completely agree, never tell a parent that you think their child has a behavioral or learning disability. Advise them of their students actions and the resources available.
