Home | How It Works | Stats Login | Register         Case: The trouble with technology iPads have recently been issued to all 8th graders in the county. As is typical of any middle schooler some of the students have found their way around the firewalls and are facebooking during class. They have learned to watch where you are in the classroom and although you have never actually "caught" them you know what they are doing. How do you deal with this situation? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) If you catch them on Facebook or anything else they shouldn't be on, they lose their iPad. When we are in the computer lab at school and I see a student on a website they should be on, I give them a warning. If they do it again, they can't use the computer. Whatever assignment they need the computer for is now up to them to complete on their own time. They have to learn. To catch them stand in the back of the room or just go up to the iPad and look at the history on the browser.
