Case: Field Trips
My school only allows us to go on one to two trips a year. I feel as though real-world experiences are essential to make connections while learning. My principal says because we are Title I we can not ask for much money from the parents. Are there any other solutions other than fundraising?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
We have established what we call "Partners in Excellence". They sponsor a couple trips a year for our students. They pay for the bus, and the students' admission. Some of the trips are not the most extravagant, but it at least gives the students a chance to experience something other than the school itself. So, I would try finding school sponsors that are interested in helping the local students. |
