Case: What part of being a teacher scares you?
If you are asked this question in a job interview for a teaching position: What are some things you should avoid when responding to this question? What might be some important points to stress that would get the interviewer's attention? How would you respond to this question?

If I were to respond to this question I would say:
"I don't think that I am necessarily scared to begin teaching; I feel well prepared from my internships and volunteer hours. I am more nervous about getting into the groove of things, and exploring different strategies that do or do not work for my students and I. I am nervous about that process." |
