  Case: Touchy Students
I have a 4th grade male student who seems to be touchy with me. He's always touching my arms, poking me, and touching my hair. I always remind him to keep his hands to himself, but he always comes back doing the same thing. How should I handle this?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would revise your classroom rules and make this one of your classroom rules. I would teach this to the students as well as the consequences that go with the rule, if it broken. If the behavior still continues after the rules are implemented with consequences for the student, I would then get a councilor involved with the problem.

Comments: There is nothing wrong with revising the rules. The class as a whole needs to know that this is not okay. You don't have to point out the student during whole group, but might pull the student aside after you have discussed the revised rules and have them paraphrase what was discussed that way you have an idea if they have a better understanding of the rules. Be mindful to be sensitive to the students feelings.

Comments: Adding it as a classroom rule is a great idea. It will also teach the other students to keep to themselves.

Comments: this could wok but writing a kid up for touching your arm sounds ridiculous especially if it is in a friendly manner

Comments: I think this could help but I don't think it'd solve the problem. The student needs to talk to a counselor.
