Not only is it affecting his performance in school but it is becoming a distraction to my other students. I have spoken with his parents on many occasions but they failed to assist me regarding his actions. Since the parents does not care, does that mean that I should? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I suggest you refer the student to the guidance counselour and that you show that you do care about the student. Maybe something has happened to the student that they have kept secret. Encourage the student and support them in any way you can.
