  Case: Inappropriate Comments to Students
What do you think is the best way to address inappropriate comments a teacher makes to his students? I have overheard him tell them they need their butts worn out, they'll fail fifth grade, they are lazy, etc. His comments are very negative and inappropriate in my opinion.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
This can be an uncomfortable situation, but I would try and initiate a conversation with said teacher about the comments. Approaching this teacher in a positive way will be helpful so that he/she doesn't feel defensive. If that didn't work, I would bring it up with administration.

Comments: Addressing this with the teacher themselves will allow them to not feel victimized or as if you are trying to get them in trouble.
Sometimes teachers will need the perspective/opinion of another teacher and then will realize their behaviors were not appropriate.
If things are not corrected, administration should be notified as this could be harming or disrupting the students’ academics.

Comments: This response is a good response as it notes the importance of providing constructive feedback in a positive manner. This post also notes that the behavior in question is not acceptable and that should it continue or escalate that it needs to be addressed including by administration if necessary.
