Case: Tone of Voice
I have a co-worker that frequently uses a harsh tone when speaking with the students. Some of the students do not respond to this type of redirection. See is doing it frequently and parents and other teachers are starting to complain and she is getting a reputation for being "The Mean Teacher". Is this something I should address?

I definitely think it is something that should be brought up. That teacher may not even be aware of what they are doing, so it is best to speak with them directly. If you do not have a good relationship with the person, the conversation could be conducted more formally or even have someone who knows them well be present during the conversation and have them offer suggestions. |

| Comments: Often times people are turned away by the teacher with a harsh tone. Even myself, as a young child, I was fearful of those who had harsh tones for wrong answers ot wrong behaviors. this is a useful solution and having someone with you to deal with the issue will be a good backup for you if you are unsure how to deal with the situarion. |
