Case: Kindergarten student received a broken arm
During supervised playtime, prior to school starting in the morning a kindergarten student received a broken arm when she fell 12 feet due to a broken step on the playground equipment. Can the teacher, school, or district be held liable for the student's injuries?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
The school or district should be responsible for the child's injuries. The equipment should be repaired. The person in charge of reviewing the safety of the playground equipment should complete a series of retraining exercises.
