Case: Inappropriate Questions from a Parent
A parent in our school has approached me multiple times to try and gain information about other teachers and sensitive school related issues. I do not even teach the parent's child, but she is extremely aggressive about asking questions. I have notified my administrator, but nothing has changed. What is the best way to address the issue?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would give her the principles email and ask her to send any questions or concerns to him/her and politely tell her that you have no opinion in the matter. |

Comments: I think this is a possible solution but not for a stubborn parent. Send them away immediately don't take the time to get an email for them. |

Comments: This may be the best way to handle the situation as if it is gone to this point you have already contacted the administrator asking them to help alleviate the issue, it may be time to just bluntly give the parent and administrator or principal email or contact information and tell them all questions do you have to be directed to |

Comments: i wouldn't just give out the principle's email to a parent I would first speak to the principle explaining my concerns and get her feedback. |

Comments: I wouldn't say that as a teacher you have no opinion because everyone has an opinion. I would just calmly explain that you can not talk about those things and that an administrator could be more useful. |
