  Case: Missing Work
I teach 3rd math and science to 2 classes. I am with the first group for 160 minutes and then swap for the other group. Many of my students are not completing the assignments due to us swapping and then having to go to something else the next day. How can I ensure that all my students are completing their assignments?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
You could make Friday a 'ketchup day.' Every Friday, whatever work they didn't finish that week, would be expected to be finished and turned in Friday by the end of the class period. Whoever was already had their work completed, had a free period to do what they wanted; read a book, work on another class' work, etc.

Comments: I think this could be beneficial in certain situations but using a whole day to catch up is a waste of valuable instruction time. While it may take stress off the students, they may put off doing work under the guise of finishing it on Friday.

Comments: This will not work because the majority of students would take the advantage of a free day. That means, they will play during the normal class period and wait to turn the work in on the free day.

Comments: Would not be beneficial in the sense that it does to give an incentive and could cause all students to wait till Friday.
