The student is very attached to her and makes comments about wishing he was her child and could go home with her. The school counselor asked if she would be willing to go through foster parent classes because of the attachment the child has to her. What do you think she should do? The teacher needs to check first with the law and see if it is appropriate and if she can provide and provide the best life for the child. I would not do this just on willingness. There are several other factors to consider. If she have to opportunity to do so, it can be a very positive placement for the child but I feel like the school system will give her a hard time over this.
