  Case: Spanish in the Classroom
I have 14 ESOL kids in my classroom. Most of them still speak Spanish at home. I have noticed that they also speak in Spanish at school w hen they are interacting with one another. Does this isolate my English speakers? Each of these students in capable of speaking English and do so during instruction. Is it ok to allow them to continue to speak in Spanish?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I remember when I came to the USA and I had my ESOL class, must of us were Spanish speakers and two Korean girls. The teacher was very hard on us about speaking in Spanish during class time, but my classmate did not care about it.
All I can say is that the more your students practice english, the faster they will get to being fluent at it. I personally sticked to practicing and listening to the teacher because I wanted to be able to communicate in English as soon as I could.

Comments: I agree. English should be encouraged, otherwise they will not learn.
