Case: Fostering Students
Mrs. Appleby has a student in her class that was recently taken from his parents. The student is very attached to her and makes comments about wishing he was her child and could go home with her. The school counselor asked if she would be willing to go through foster parent classes because of the attachment the child has to her. What do you think she should do?

If Mrs. Appleby feels as the student for her, she should do all the process and take the student under her wing. Comfort, is so important for students when learning, I will do whatever it takes to see this student succeed. |

| Comments: I agree, if the child feels comfortable with the teacher then she should foster the child if she is willing to go through the paperwork. I think it would make such a difference for the child. |

| Comments: This reminds me of the movie Matilda but in a different way. I think that if the teacher feels that bond with the student then she would not really be questioning it and that is a great thing for the student if so. |
