  Case: Boys Will Be Boys
There must have been a baby boom of boys a few years ago! Our fourth grade classes are majority boys. In my class, I have 7 girls and 18 boys. This dynamic has been difficult to balance. I have noticed the boys are very talkative and playful (sometimes very disruptive). How can I tailor my plans to appease the boys as well as the girls interest? What are some daily techniques I can try to get the boys more focused and less playful?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
One thing that I noticed in a classroom I was volunteering with is the use of swivel seating, this helped the students fidget while learning.

Comments: This is a great idea however, it is also important to make sure ground rules are established as well before implementing this.

Comments: I do not think this solution is doable. Although I like the idea of swivel seats, it will be very difficult to find the amount of swivel seats to allow every student in your class to have one and only allowing certain students to sit in swivel seats is not fair to the rest of the class.

Comments: I'm not sure if this solves a problem of boys being rowdy versus the girls.
