I teach a class of 25 rowdy 8 year old kids. I am a firm believer in the fact that they need a break. I have been stopping and doing a Just Dance break after lunch, but I always feel like I have to sneak around and hope to not get caught. Am I wrong for wanting my students to have a break? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) You are not wrong for wanting to give the students a break. It is hard for students to focus on school without a break for how ever long the school day is (Depending on the school). One idea is to have a few minutes to let the kids just talk quietly or get up and stretch in the classroom, while you prepare for the next lesson. Even though they cant go outside, at least you are allowing them to have a very short mental break.
