Everyday, I am constantly reinforcing this rule to my 1st grade students; KEEP YOUR HANDS, FEET, AND OBJECTS TO YOURSELF. I have a clip system in which the students would have to move their clips down (with the chance to move back up), as well as class dojo in which the students will loose points or have their points erased all together. You follow all of the behavioral approaches and are still struggling to maintain control. Studies of shown that if you discipline one or two students for this behavior, the rest will sort of fall in line. This will show the students that you mean business and that they will follow the rules or suffer the consequences.
