  Case: Offensive Comments
If you were teaching a social studies lesson about Native Americans. What would you do if one of your students makes a comment like, "The Indians helped the white settlers?. How would you handle this situation?

This sounds like a perfect teaching opportunity. Most students say these things just because they do not know the difference between the names.

Comments: But you don't really help with this solution. You just say to teach about this.How should she handle it? by giving the correct names? Going into detail about the whole history?
