I teach a class of 25 rowdy 8 year old kids. I am a firm believer in the fact that they need a break. I have been stopping and doing a Just Dance break after lunch, but I always feel like I have to sneak around and hope to not get caught. Am I wrong for wanting my students to have a break? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) You are absolutely not wrong. I find it ridiculous with all the research out there that this is even an issue with our schools today. I suggest incorporating indoor play. Find different activities that are acceptable to do indoors that allow he students to release energy. See if you can find activities that can be considered educational if you are "caught".
