Case: Holiday's With Jehovah's Witness
What is the best way to teach or reference holidays when there is a Jehovah's Witness in the class. I wouldn't want the others to hinder in activities and celebrations.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Much of the time it comes down to how the parents feel about the celebration or the content relate to the holiday. Because parties for Christmas or Halloween usually have no grades associated with them it is up to you and the parents about keeping the child home, have them be in an agreed location or just letting them be in the party but understand why they can or can not do something. |

Comments: I like that your solution allows each family to choose their level of involvement without impacting the students' grades. Growing up Jewish we did not celebrate Halloween, Easter, or Christmas in my mother's home but she still allowed us to participate in school activities. It really does all depend on the individual stance of the parent. |

Comments: I think Jehovah witness children are aware of why they can't partake in activites |

Comments: It's great to get the exact idea of what the parent wants their student to be exposed to. |

Comments: Keeping the child at home isolated form other children just because they have different beliefs is not right. There are other ways for children to have fun around the holidays without actually celebrating the holiday. As was previously stated having another kind of party with food and games. |
