Case: What would you do if half of your class did poorly on a test?
If you are asked this question in a job interview for a teaching position: What are some things you should avoid when responding to this question? What might be some important points to stress that would get the interviewer's attention? How would you respond to this question?

After reviewing the tests to see if it was the whole lesson, or just a key concept they missed. Depending on the outcome, it is necessary to re-teach the material before moving on. Many times, especially in math, it is impossible to move on without understanding the previous material. They will just become more confused. |

| Comments: Determining the weak area is the right direction in determining what concept to re-teach and if the way it was originally taught needed to be revamped. If 1/2 of the class did well, there are a number of factors to reconsider. |

| Comments: I agree that it is important to re-teach a lesson or a certain area of the lesson before you move on. I like the example you gave when it comes to math that you usually have to understand the concept before to move on so it is important to re-teach if necessary. |
