Case: Shy student
Joyce is not making much progress teaching her remedial English class and is particularly concerned about an extremely shy student who is not responding to her teaching methods and style.
What would you do to help her shy student?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would talk with her and see what is going on. i would also implement group and partner work which will help engage the student and make they come out of there shell little by little. |

Comments: Speaking directly to the student could go either way, it could encourage them to speak up or it would make them uncomfortable and go more into their shell, so it just depends. |

Comments: There may not be anything "going on", though it is god to check in with students. she may just be shy. In order to pique her interest there are a variety of ways to try, like getting to know what she actually does like, rather than just throwing her into group work and hoping for the best. |
