  Case: Time-Out
I have a student who very often has to go into time out during extra curricular time, because not listening or fighting with other students. Every time the student has to go into time out he cries and cries and cries. I feel bad but he has to learn. I am not sure how to handle this situation.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would work on creating a behavior plan and talk with the student alone to set goals and reward him for positive behavior.

Comments: I like how you say to set goals and talk to the student. The student should be aware of the good and bad consequences of good and behavior. They will be more motivated to behave appropriately.

Comments: I like this solution. I would also have a plan for what exactly is expected from him during this time (extracurricular activities). Maybe he thinks this time is more of free fun time?
