  Case: Disgusting
More often than not, I have a student that shows up to class with lice. I have sent her to the clinic numerous times. I have sent notes home numerous times. Still, she comes to class with lice. What do I do next?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
The problem is much higher than your control, you should contact administration and have them contact the parents of the child. It is important that the clinic takes note of the problem, as it could lead to a spread of head lice.

The suggested solution is respectful of the individual (student) Yes
The suggested solution is relevant to the case Yes
The suggested solution is reasonable (easy) for the teacher to implement Yes
The suggested solution is likely to solve the problem/issue Yes
The suggested solution is original Yes
Comments: I agree. This is something the clinic or administration needs to take care of. In most cases like this, students are actually told to stay home until the problem is taken care of because they don't want the lice to start spreading.

Comments: I would do the same in this situation. Lice can easily and quickly infect a school and is a larger problem.

Comments: This solution is not useful because it immediately jumps to administration and not having a conference face-to-face with the parents to address the issue first.

Comments: If actions have been taken to try to help to no avail, administration is the way to go. Not as a punishment to the child, but as a way to help them. Lice could be a great issue in the school and would attract the rage of many parents were it to spread. If the parents do nothing, I would count that as neglect.

Comments: I think this is the best solution. Having a child at school with lice can lead to it spreading to other children. It is always a good thing to document when a child has lice, especially if they show up with lice several different times.

Comments: This is very true. At this point, the teacher can't do anything but try to reach out to the parents. Next up is contacting administration.
