Case: Interviewing Within Your School
I am currently considering a job as an EIP teacher at the school in which I currently work. The position will not need to be filled until next school year, but I will begin letting my administrators know I am interested in the position soon. How should I prepare for this type of interview. I am already at the school, and deal with the administrator on a daily basis. What things should I prepare myself for that would allow me to excel in this process?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would look into the position to make sure it is something you really want to do. The best way to find out about the position more is to talk to the teacher who currently holds the position. That person is also likely to be asked by administration if they find a certain teacher capable of the position. If you have shown interest and that you care they are likely to put in a good word. |

Comments: I would not use this solution because not every interviewer will ask around for recommendations so no one should count on this. |

Comments: I would be hesitant to begin talking to others, as words get mixed up and travel. You don't want the wrong information going around, or if you decide to not apply for the position. |
