  Case: Cliques
I have two students who are acting out towards the other students. They are both girls who pick on the girls with less friends. How do I stop this without crossing my boundaries as their teacher and not their parents?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
If they are all students of mine, I would create a group assignment where I would require them to work together. While doing this I would periodically take time to check to see how they are getting along. This activity would allow them to get to know each other better. Maybe they will discover that they have some things in common. If this did not work then I would then use the opportunity to counsel the girls about their behavior and speak to them about the consequences of their behavior.

Comments: Most girls won't be quick to change with this unless they see the consequences. They'll just pretend to be nice to the other girls till you turn your back.
